Party food for those on a Low FODMAP diet

When I first started on the Low FODMAP diet, it felt like most food was excluded with onion, garlic and honey luirking everywhere. A party buffet seemed like a minefield, I would normally stick to some carrot sticks and plain crisps. Which is a sorry excuse for party food. With Christmas fast approaching I am going to share some of my favourite party food, this is what I prepare for my friends. I also find that the Low FODMAP diet is daunting for friends to cater for, so I often bring some of the below dishes with me for everyone to enjoy.

Crudite

Crudite is the go to option, it’s easy and there are no hidden Low FODMAPS. Choose from Low FODMAP vegetables such as carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and peppers then add some tasty dips. I love dips so much I have a whole blog post dedicated to my favourite dip recipes!

I also use my favourite sourdough to make Crostini, check out my recipe below.

Cheese

So many cheeses are Low FODMAP as they are low in lactose so go mad with a cheese board. To keep it Low FODMAP keep to a serving of 40g.

  • Comte

  • Gruyere

  • Manchego

  • Brie

  • Camembert

  • Cheddar

  • Feta
